Profile Center

Profile Center is a product that can be used in many different ways and areas. By default we use the information about users which can be found in "My Site". In addition we can apply data from Active Directory etc. By default you can use the product to navigate and search for people, skills etc. The Profile Center, unlike Microsoft SharePoint out-of-the box, gives you a configurable navigation of profile information. Profile Center can replace your web application for your switchboard or be a internal contact list. But it can also do much more. If you have more information stored in "My Site" you can use all of that information to build applications for different needs. For example: skills, projects etc.

Profile Center includes a Silverlight web part. In this view we navigate through the organization based on what department people belong to.

Search



Finding relevant information about a co-worker or a department can be difficult with Microsoft SharePoint out-of-the box. Profile Center can help you with many different needs.

Effects



The results of the search is presented to the user in a nice and relevant format. Microsoft SharePoint out-of-the box would give you a lot of hits and it can be difficult to find relevant data in the result of the search.
